Shooting Range Insurance
Indoor and outdoor rifle, pistol, archery and trap/skeet facilities. Rated per lane, underwritten on how you run the line.
Ranges rate per lane, not on revenue. A well-run twelve-lane facility should not be priced like a retail store that happens to have a range attached. Getting the lane count and the range type right is most of the work.
The rest is operations. Underwriters want to know whether a range safety officer is on the firing line when the range is hot, how the line is controlled if not, whether renters complete a firearms experience application, and what your maintenance program looks like for lead and spent brass.
Rentals are the sharpest exposure
Firearm rentals concentrate risk more than almost anything else a range does. Screening, identification requirements and documented refusal authority are worth real money at renewal, so have that program written down.
If you host events, run a clubhouse, or serve food or alcohol, those are separate conversations and they belong in the submission from the start.
